The practice of the Pilates method is aimed at strengthening, stretching and balancing the whole body

It focuses its attention on the central part of the body (power house) and seeks for the maximum control of the body movements through will power

Indeed its creator in 1880, Joseph Pilates, named it Contrology (science of control)

This method works on the body as a whole, from the deepest muscle to the most peripheral one, improving posture, flexibility and equilibrium, shaping the figure

The practice of Pilates can be performed either on the ground or with specialized machines
 


The exercises are always slow and controlled, based on a very safe program where the maximum accuracy of movements with a small amount of repetitions is pursued

The breathing, concentration, control, alignment and flow are the other key concepts of the method

The focus we give to our school comes from the work of its creator, Joseph Pilates, and from the inclusion of the modern knowledge of the body structure and way of work

For all the above, with respect to the human postural system, we propose to help to restore the spine's natural curves, eliminate tensions and control one's own body
